Resource Development/Fund Raising Manager (Sydney CBD)

About us: Centacare Sydney is a rapidly expanding human service agency providing a range of innovative services for disadvantaged people and communities in Sydney. It is a vital arm of the Catholic Church's Sydney Archdiocese.
About the job: Our new role of Manager Resource Development and Fund Raising will play a major part in helping us achieve our Mission. It will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing all our fundraising and support development activities
  • Expanding the existing direct mail and supporter data base;
  • Developing funding submissions and promotional material
  • Sourcing and securing corporate partnerships
  • Successfully engaging with trusts and foundations
  • Expanding support and donations to Centacare Foundation

Parish Liason Worker

About the job: Centacare has created this new role to implement our "Working with the Parishes Strategy'. The strategy aims to bring together, wherever possible, the work of Centacare and the life of the Parish.
The primary goals of the role are:

  • To build and establish strong links between Centacare and the Parishes of the Archdiocese and assisting parishes in addressing identified local needs.
  • To engage Parishioners in the Social Mission of the Church through opportunities for involvement in and the development of increased awareness of the work carried out by Centacare.

About you: To succeed in this role you will utilise your qualifications and/or experience in human services  and human service roles and your excellent communication, project management and organisational skills to strengthen Centacare's links with Parishes. Your drive, initiative and capacity to build and sustain relationships will be highly regarded in this important role.

The position is based at Centacare's head office, however, regular travel to parishes within the Archdiocese is an aspect of the role so you will need a current drivers licence.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Centacare Townsville - Two Positions

Counsellor/Case Worker - Personal Support Program 

12 month Fixed Term Position
SACS Level 4-5 ($39,111 - $46,185)

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Counsellor/Case Worker in the Personal Support Program (PSP). PSP delivers counselling referral, advocacy, practical support, outreach activities and ongoing assessment to people recognised by Centrelink as having barriers that prevent them from re-engaging with the community or actively partaking in employment. The ideal person for this role will have relevant qualifications/experience in behavioural sciences or experience in a job placement or employment services role. Experience in EA3000 would be highly regarded.

Senior Facilitator - Early Intervention Services 

Full Time Position
SACS Level 4 -5 ($39,111 - $46,185) + $1,500pa Senior Worker Allowance

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for a Senior Facilitator in the Early Intervention Services (EIS). EIS delivers programs and courses in the areas of Men and Family Relationships Services, Specialised Family Violence Services and Family Relationship Education and Skills Training. The ideal person for this role will have skills and experience in facilitating group work programs, the ability to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services and demonstrated community development skills and experience, including culturally appropriate community consultation.
